Nowadays, the prominent and irreplaceable role of the media and media policy-making, especially radio and television in drawing and determining the various dimensions of security is not hidden to anyone. This issue requires much more attention in Khoozestan province and the city of Ahvaz due to the strategic location of this province and also the prevalence of some negative social phenomena such as unemployment, crime, ethnic diversity, mass conflicts, drug trafficking, bombings, marginalization, robbery and murder. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the role of social behavior modeling and social participation in Khoozestan broadcasting center on the security feelings of people by emphasizing on the mediating role of social tolerance and social trust using field study and questionnaire method. The statistical population of the study was all households in Ahvaz city, which is about 276032 households. The multi-stage clustering sampling method was used to determine the sample size using sample power software and the minimum sample size was selected equal to 220 households. The results of the study indicated that the exogenous variables of social behavior modeling and information only indirectly affected the endogenous variable of social security through social trust. Also, social participation, in addition to the direct impact, has indirectly affected the feeling of social security through social trust. Finally, the mediating role of social tolerance and social trust and the moderating role of social behavior modeling in the estimated model were confirmed.
